UNCW Updates Testing Locations and Announces a Vaccination Clinic Date

Monday, January 10, 2022

As we move closer to the start of classes on Jan. 12 (traditional academic calendar), please review the testing and vaccination information below to make sure you are aware of any details that pertain to you. Best wishes for a strong start to the spring semester!

Both return-to-campus testing and surveillance testing will be held in Warwick Ballroom the week of January 10. The hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4:30 p.m.

The Veterans Hall surveillance testing site will open on Tuesday, January 18.

As we have shared before, UNCW is requiring all residential students as well as unvaccinated faculty, staff and students learning and working on campus for the spring 2022 semester to participate in return-to-campus testing before coming to campus for the first time in January.

Seahawks in these groups must show:
  • Proof of a previous positive test in the past 90 days or
  • Proof of a negative COVID test within the past 3 days
  • OR get tested on campus before you move in, attend class, or begin work
People attending return-to-campus testing should allow at least 45 minutes to be tested and to receive your result and your clearance letter.

Students who have documentation of a test taken off-campus or a vaccination card they have not turned in yet should bring it to the testing site to get their clearance letter.

We continue to send out clearance letters. If you have submitted your information to the health center via coronavirus@uncw.edu and return to campus before receiving an emailed clearance letter, please bring your documentation to the testing site to get a paper copy.

Vaccination Clinics
If you aren’t yet vaccinated or you haven’t received your booster, take action to protect yourselves and our community. Vaccinations and boosters for UNCW students, faculty and staff will be available as supplies are available Friday, January 14 during COVID-19 testing hours in Warwick Center.

The university will continue to offer COVID-19 vaccines and boosters on campus this semester; monitor your campus inboxes and Best for the Nest for dates, times and locations. If you are vaccinated but have not yet submitted your information to Student Health, please send it to coronavirus@uncw.edu.
