Thursday, September 16, 2021
The university COVID-19 Campus Vaccination Clinic will be open Friday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Warwick Center. No appointment is necessary, and all are welcome. There is no cost to be vaccinated. We encourage all members of the university community to get vaccinated to help protect yourself, family and friends.UNCW will be administering the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is approved for those 18 and older. This vaccine requires only a single dose, which means recipients are considered “fully vaccinated” two weeks after receiving it.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is becoming more difficult to procure. We have limited doses left, so if you are interested in receiving this vaccine, we encourage you to get vaccinated this Friday.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will also be administered on a first-come, first-served basis. The university is offering this vaccine to community members 17 and older. This is a two-dose vaccine and will require you to schedule a second dose three weeks after the first dose. After receiving the vaccine, you will need to remain in the Warwick Center for 15 minutes.
