UNCW Vaccine Clinic Open May 4 and May 6, No Appointment Necessary
Thursday, April 29, 2021
The university COVID-19 Campus Vaccination Clinic will be open Tuesday, May 4, and Thursday, May 6, from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. for anyone 18 and older. No appointment is necessary, and all are welcome. After receiving the vaccine, you will need to remain in the Burney Center for 15 minutes.
We encourage all members of the university community, especially graduates and those planning to travel this summer, to get vaccinated to help protect yourself, family and friends. With the one-dose vaccine, you are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after you receive it.
As you make plans for the summer, please consider that the CDC recently revised its travel guidelines and released new guidance for outdoor and indoor activities for fully vaccinated individuals.
Parking
Free visitor parking is available in Lot M near Burney Center. Please see the Visitor Parking webpage for directions and more details.
About the Vaccine
UNCW will be administering the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is approved for those at least 18 years of age or older. This vaccine requires only a single dose, which means recipients are considered “fully vaccinated” two weeks after receiving it.
Already Vaccinated
Thank you to those who have already been vaccinated! Students who were vaccinated off campus are encouraged to send a copy or photo of the front and back of their vaccine card to the Student Health Center so that it can be added to your immunization history. Please email those copies to coronavirus@uncw.edu.
