Notice: Visit NC DHHS Website to ‘Find Your Spot to Take Your Shot’
Wednesday, January 13, 2021
Update: The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services announced an updated COVID-19 vaccination plan on Jan. 14. Monitor the state’s “Find Your Spot to Take Your Shot” website and your county health department’s website for the latest information.
Over the past few days, members of the campus community have reached out to the Student Health Center via the coronavirus@uncw.edu inbox to ask for information about how to get vaccinated for COVID-19. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services’ website has a site service locater you can use to “find your spot to take your shot.”
Like many aspects of the coronavirus pandemic, the vaccination process is fluid. Our state’s counties have different procedures to register and are moving at different paces. You should routinely check the resources for your county to be fully informed and ready to sign up for your spot when it’s time for your shot. If you live outside North Carolina, please check with the health department resources in your area.
Please continue to follow applicable health and safety guidelines on campus and in our community. Remember to wear a face covering, wait six feet apart and wash your hands frequently.
