Four Decades Strong: Registration Now Open for Popular MarineQuest Summer Programs
Thursday, February 06, 2020
As the state’s coastal university, UNCW is geographically advantaged to provide strong academic programs in marine science and biology.
This month, MarineQuest, the official marine science outreach program for UNCW, the Watson College of Education, and the Center for Marine Science, is celebrating 40 years of providing marine and environmental science enrichment programs to more than 200,000 children and teens.
“As our motto says, MarineQuest is more than just another day at the beach,” said Sue Kezios, director of youth programs. “For four decades, the program has promoted environmental education, local conservation efforts and provided jobs for many UNCW students and young adults. UNCW even boasts a faculty member who was once a MarineQuest camper!”
Registration is now open for the popular summer programs. Class options for 2020 are available for those ages 4 to 17. For complete information, visit the MarineQuest website.
