UNCW Commencement Ceremonies Scheduled for December 14

Saturday, December 14, UNCW will graduate 1,696 undergraduates, 582 graduate students and 11 doctoral students during the university’s 98th commencement exercises.

The ceremony for the College of Arts and Sciences exercises will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tickets are not required for guests to attend this ceremony, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The ceremony for the professional schools (Cameron School of Business, Watson College of Education and the College of Health and Human Services) will begin at 1 p.m. Tickets are required for guests to attend this ceremony. Click here for ticket information.

David Congdon ’78, executive chairman of Old Dominion Freight Line, will receive an honorary degree during the 1 p.m. ceremony. Judge Philip Berger '94 of the North Carolina Board of Appeals will deliver remarks for both ceremonies.

Graduates should arrive to Hanover Gym (adjacent to Trask) one hour prior to the start of their ceremony. Faculty are to report to room 119 in Trask 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. The doors to Trask will open one hour prior to the start of each ceremony. Ceremonies will also be streamed live for remote viewing.
