More than 40 UNCW student-athletes and several UNCW Athletics staff members didn't sleep in Saturday morning. Instead, they spent the better part of the day lending a hand in a special project in conjunction with the NCAA and Habitat for Humanity.

The community service project aided those building and repairing homes impacted by natural disasters. Hurricane Florence blew through southeastern North Carolina back in September, causing a significant amount of damage to homes in Wilmington and the surrounding area.
