University Police have received reports of shooting close to campus near Campus Edge Apartments at 1:15 p.m. 
 
There is no immediate threat, but avoid this area if possible and use caution while traveling on campus. Take shelter in a secure location if concerned. Emergency personnel are responding to the situation. 

Please do not contact the University to seek additional information, as university officials and emergency responders are busy addressing safety concerns. Excessive phone calls may delay response.
