Student Veterans of America, in partnership with Google, announced eight student veteran recipients of the Fall 2018 Google SVA Scholarship today. The winners went through an extremely competitive application process to become SVA-recognized scholars. UNCW's Jay Richardson '20 was one of the recipients.

The Google SVA Scholarship program provides a $10,000 scholarship to selected student veterans pursuing computer science degrees. Scholarship recipients will also attend the Google Scholars' Retreat in summer 2019. Richardson is one of more than 2,100 military-affiliated students at UNCW, and plans to earn a degree in computer information technology with a cybersecurity minor.
