Student-athletes at UNCW have achieved their highest semester grade point average on record for a semester, compiling a cumulative 3.360 GPA during the recently completed fall 2018 term.
 
The 315 student-athletes weathered Hurricane Florence and other challenges to feature 246 individuals with a GPA of 3.00 or higher. A total of 45 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.00 GPA and 15 teams recorded GPA's of at least 3.00.
 
"We're extremely proud of this wonderful accomplishment by our student-athletes," said Jimmy Bass, UNCW's athletic director. "It's a tribute to their hard work, the efforts of our Student-Athlete Support Services staff and the contributions of many other folks. They have certainly set the bar high for the future."
