After a national search, Amanda Fleming has been named UNCW registrar, the university announced today. In this role, Fleming will oversee the office responsible for maintaining and ensuring the security of student academic records, including enrollment, grades and degree processing. She will report to Senior Associate Provost for Academic Affairs Richard Ogle.

“Amanda brings a wealth of expertise and experience to this role, and we are excited to have her join the UNCW team,” Ogle said. “We are confident that her collaborative leadership style will help the Office of the Registrar and the enrollment management team continue to provide excellent service to students, faculty and staff.”

Fleming will join the Seahawk community after a 16-year career with the Office of the Registrar at East Carolina University, the past 12 years as associate registrar for records and registration. During her time at ECU, she has been part of teams that upgraded the student information system and has served on a number of committees and campus workgroups.

She earned her M.B.A. from ECU, where she also earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in management information systems, and she is the recipient of numerous professional awards and certifications.
