In collaboration with the National Weather Service and other agencies, UNCW is monitoring a low-pressure weather system near Florida. Rough seas, gusty winds and an increased risk of rip currents are expected along our local coastline as the system moves toward the Carolinas. Check local weather reports before heading to the beach.

Stay out of the water as directed by weather reports, signage, and safety personnel.
