Thursday, October 27, 2016
UNCW is again the site of the Visions Film Festival and Conference with the all-day event happening on March 31, 2017 in Lumina Theater.
Founded in 2006, Visions is the only peer-reviewed, undergraduate joint film festival and conference of its kind. The event has grown into an international festival that offers an enriched experience for filmmakers and scholars through interactive panels, workshops and visionary screenings attended by students, industry professionals and film lovers.
Burgeoning filmmakers and scholars are invited to showcase their work. Entries will be accepted beginning Oct. 27. All film and paper submissions must have been completed between January 2014 and January 2017 by an undergraduate student crew. No works-in-progress will be accepted.
Submission Timeline:
· Early Film Deadline: December 7, 2016
· Regular Film Deadline: January 7, 2017
· Scholarly Paper Deadline: January 7, 2017
· Late Film Deadline: January 17, 2017
All films should be submitted via filmfreeway.com/festival/Visions007FilmFestivalConference. Scholarly paper abstracts will be accepted via a Google form on www.visionsffc.org. Email submission-related inquiries to visions7programming@gmail.com.
