Friday, September 09, 2016
The University of North Carolina Wilmington is a featured school on The Princeton Review’s list of “Best Southeastern Colleges 2017” and was 5th among public universities in North Carolina in a ranking published by USA Today.
“UNCW’s dedication to the integration of teaching and mentoring with research and service inspires our students and faculty to achieve excellence,” said Chancellor Jose V. Sartarelli. “The distinctive qualities of our programs, in collaboration with our campus-wide commitment to community engagement, propel the national recognition UNCW consistently receives.”
The Princeton Review does not rank schools by number but lists detailed information about admissions and enrollment, academics, student body, tuition and financial aid and campus life. Interviews with students offer personal insights. In describing UNCW, students noted the “beautiful campus,” excellent academic programs, “fantastic people” and engaging professors.
USA Today teamed with College Factual to compile its rankings. UNCW ranked 13th among private and public colleges and 5th when compared to other public universities in the state.
