The UNCW community is saddened by the loss of Thurman “Bruce” Peele, who worked as a UNCW landscaper since July 2015. He passed away April 22.
 
A native of Fayetteville, N.C., he is survived by his wife Shirley, his mother, a stepdaughter, a sister and nieces and nephews. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed playing golf with his campus colleagues.
 
A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, at Calvary Chapel, 2831 Carolina Beach Road. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. Please see link for details.
