UNCW Associate Vice Chancellor of Business Services Sharon Boyd believes in being as professional, knowledgeable and innovative as possible.

Last month, Boyd became chair of the Certification Committee of the National Association of College Auxiliary Services. She is also a Certified Auxiliary Service Professional (CASP), a four-year certification for auxiliary service professionals. Obtaining CASP certification demonstrates expertise and drive.

A graduate of UNCW (accountancy), Boyd oversees campus dining, the bookstore, card services, technology/access control/business systems, print/mail, environmental health and safety, emergency management and institutional risk management.

She credits her CASP certification as a benefit for not only her personally, but for UNCW.  “Becoming a CASP sets a good example for my staff in their own professional development. Auxiliaries must do their part to develop the widest array of leadership talent that will be able to innovate and sustain the highest levels of service.”
