A faculty member and students from the Department of Communication Studies collaborated to produce a video to promote UNCW’s study abroad program in Swansea, Wales. Associate professor William Bolduc along with Connor Buss and Zach Pomeroy filmed the video over eight days in March. It premiered this week at a Swansea information session.

“Iechyd Da!” (Welsh for “cheers to good health!”) showcases the study abroad program at Swansea University through the voices of UNCW and SU students, faculty and staff.

The project included substantial student reflection before, during and after the production,” said Bolduc. “In their reflections both Connor and Zach wrote of the profound impact the project had on them – from the depth and intensity of the production experience in a foreign country to the fast and furious immersion in Welsh culture.”

The UNCW Office of International Programs and ETEAL, UNCW’s Quality Enhancement Plan, provided support for the project. The video is being used to recruit students for the Swansea program by not only UNCW, but Colorado State as well.
