Sigma Delta Pi
Sigma Delta Pi Hispanic Honor Society encourages, honors and rewards students who attain excellence in Hispanic studies at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Sigma Delta Pi, National Collegiate Hispanic Honorary Society, was founded in 1919 and the Rho Lambda Chapter was chartered April 22, 1988, at UNCW.
The primary purpose of Sigma Delta Pi is to encourage, honor and reward students who attain excellence in Hispanic studies, language, literature and culture at the undergraduate and graduate levels. They are invited to apply for membership.
Invitations for students to apply are typically sent out in the second month of each semester and new members are inducted at a ceremony held near the end of each semester.
For more information or to express interest outside of the application period, students are encouraged to contact Brian Chandler, advisor to Sigma Delta Pi, at any time.
