Film Screenings, Panel Discussions to Explore Immigrant Justice, Racial Discrimination

The UNCW Department of World Languages and Cultures and co-sponsors invite the campus and community to the following two cultural events

A screening of “Stories Beyond Borders: 5 Films to Spark Conversations about Immigrant Justice,” followed by a panel discussion with immigration attorney Vanessa Gonzalez and Liz Uzcategui, director of the Clínica Latina at Coastal Horizons, will be held at 6 p.m. on March 21. 

A screening of “Refuge: A Story of Fear and Love in the American South,” followed by a panel discussion with Mayra Galeano, MedNorth, Wes Magruder, CWS Wilmington, and Edelmira Segovia, UNCW Centro Hispano, will be held at 6 p.m. on April 18. 

Both presentations will be held in Bear Hall, room 106 and are free of charge.
