Tatiana Rabinovich, a postdoctoral researcher at N.C. State University, will explore the contradictory meanings of sisterhood in Islam based on her ethnographic fieldwork in St. Petersburg during the lecture, “Muslim Sisterhood in Russia,” at 5 p.m. on April 22 in Cameron Hall Auditorium. The free event, part of the Critical Research for the Common Good Speakers Series, is presented by the UNCW Department of Anthropology and is open to the public.
