What Can UNCW Offer You?

Community Engagement at UNCW

Our university is committed to uplifting our faculty, staff, students and community partners.

Cultural Opportunities Await

The Cultural Arts Building is just one of several locations on campus showcasing student, faculty and guest artwork. All venues are free and open to the public and often feature a meet-the-artist reception.

From cool jazz to the big band sound, UNCW’s Department of Music offers performances year-round that showcase the talents of students and faculty. A variety of workshops and musical instruction are open to the community.

Thought-provoking programs, like the annual Sherman Lecture Series and the Leadership Lecture Series, bring nationally recognized speakers to campus to explore topics of historical, cultural and current interests.

Who needs to travel to Broadway when you can see exciting theatrical productions in your own backyard at UNCW’s own Mainstage and Blackbox theatres?

Lumina Festival of the Arts is UNCW’s annual two-week celebration of the arts in the coastal South featuring music, art, film, theatre, dance and family-friendly programs.

iFest is one of several ways we celebrate the diversity of today’s society. Look for other events at the Upperman Center, Centro Hispano, the Asian Heritage Cultural Center and the Mohin-Scholz LGBTQUIA Resource Center.
