CHHS Associate Professor Gives Presentations at Society for Social Work Research Conference

On January 10-14, Associate Professor Kristin Bolton presented at the Society of Social Work Research Conference in Washington D.C.

Her presentations included topics such as the perceived effect of policing effort, the interprofessional approach to research and qualitative understanding of women’s influence in the military.

The event is the largest social work research conference in the world. Bolton has attended this prestigious conference in previous years, and was selected this year as a speaker through a peer-review process.

In the presentation on “An Exploratory Investigation of an Interprofessional Approach to Research Methods,” Bolton, along with UNCW Spanish Professor Jess Boersma, covered topics that discussed if interprofessional collaboration was feasible, beneficial and practical for multiple disciplines.
