On October 3 - 4, Dean, Charles Hardy; Associate Dean for Research and Innovation, Justine Reel; and Coordinator for the Center for Healthy Communities, Leah Mayo traveled on behalf of the North Carolina Public Health Training Center and UNCW to Emory University for the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) grant steering committee meeting.

The purpose of the steering committee meeting was to assemble representatives from across the southeastern region provide trainings for the public health workforce.

“These steering committee meetings are an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with faculty members from other states about ways to offer trainings to our diverse public health professionals across the region,” Justine said.
