CHHS Offers Students Innovation in Health and Human Services Study Abroad Class for Spring 2018

CHHS is offering students CHHS 494: Innovation in Health and Human Services, a Study Abroad class for the second half of the 2018 spring semester.

The class will expose students to innovation, both domestically and abroad. Students will experience hands-on learning about innovation, which refers to product development, refining a service or therapeutic approach or starting a company to address an identified need. Locally, students will visit incubators, accelerators and interface with entrepreneurs. Afterward, students will travel to several universities in Sweden to learn about innovative projects and strategies employed to address medical needs, enhance sport performance and tackle societal problems.

In addition to learning about innovation, students will have the chance to interact with Swedish students and faculty colleagues at three different universities in Sweden. They will take part in cultural activities in both Sweden and Copenhagen.

Undergraduate and graduate students from all CHHS majors are invited to apply to the program.

Professor and Associate Dean of Research and Innovation, Dr. Justine Reel will lead the trip.
