Real-Life Concussion Doctor to Speak at UNCW

Dr. Bennet Omalu, the real-life doctor behind the best-selling book Concussion, will be speaking at UNCW on March 29 at 7 p.m. in the Burney Center.

Dr. Omalu is a physician, forensic pathologist and neuropathologist who discovered chronic traumatic encephalopathy amongst former NFL players.

The book based on this discovery, Concussion, was adapted into a film, in which Dr. Omalu is portrayed by Will Smith.

Admission is free for UNCW students, faculty and staff and $10 for the general public. See flyer for more information.
