Graduate Program Prerequisites

• Average GPA ranges from 3.44 (Methodist) to 3.7 (ECU and Elon).
• All programs are 24-27 months. Credit hours range from 91 (Wake Forest) to 131 (Methodist).
• Average GRE scores (Quantitative and Verbal) range from 305 (Methodist) to 311 (Duke).
• Although programs list minimum health care experience hours, average number of hours range from 3,700 (Methodist) to 5,930 (Campbell).
• Total In-State Tuition ranges from $33,360 (Wingate) to $116,571 (Duke). Most programs are roughly $80,000-87,000.
• Physician assistant programs across the U.S. usually take 24-30 months to complete. Applicants typically apply to 8 programs and have an average of a 3.5 GPA and 4,837 hours of heath care experience ( PAEA Report).
• The median annual wage was $101,480 in 2016. Employment is projected to grow 30% from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations ( BLS).
