  • Observation Hours: 40 hours of observation with a licensed OT or OTA
  • Three letters of recommendation: One letter must be completed by the occupational therapy supervisor where student volunteered or worked.

Prerequisites:

Students seeking admission must have a grade of "C" or higher in all prerequisite courses, and must have completed at least four of the seven prerequisite courses by the application deadline.

  • Human Anatomy & Physiology with Lab (2 courses), or one Anatomy and one Physiology course with Lab: 6-8 credits (UNCW: BIO/L 240 & BIO/L 241 or EXS/L 216 & EXS 217)
  • Lifespan Human Growth & Development or Developmental Psychology: 3 credits (UNCW: PSY 223)
  • Abnormal Psychology: 3 credits (UNCW: PSY 247)
  • Sociology or Anthropology: 3 credits (UNCW: SOC 105 or ANT 105)
  • Medical Terminology: 3 credits (UNCW: ATR 470)
