C. Elise ThompsonDr. Charlotte Thompson is an assistant professor in the School of Nursing, teaching in the prelicensure and the RN-BSN program. Thompson is a registered nurse with a background in emergency nursing. She has experience as a triage nurse, charge nurse, preceptor, and assistant manager. She also has experience as a course coordinator and a clinical instructor in acute care and skilled nursing facilities. Thompson received a BSN from the UNC-Charlotte, a MSN in nursing education and a PhD in nursing from the University of Hawaii at Manona. Her dissertation research compared high fidelity simulation, low fidelity simulation, and video training in first year undergraduate students in medication administration.
