Valerie Tarte

Dr. Valerie Tarte teaches in the RN-BSN program and the MSN program. She is a registered nurse with a background in emergency nursing, leadership and informatics. She has experience as a triage nurse, charge nurse, precepting, clinical educator, systems analyst, quality assurance and manager. Tarte is an 18-year veteran of the nursing informatics profession and a 10-year leadership veteran. She has experience as a course and clinical instructor in acute care, medical surgical and emergency services in corporate, the hospital setting and in skilled nursing facilities. Tarte has experience teaching in many colleges throughout the state. Her capstone research consisted of surveying the acceptance of mobile technology use for education and self-management of HF patients.
