Melissa Reedy: MSNEd, RN, NCSN, Lecturer

Melissa ReedyMelissa Reedy joined UNCW in 2015, teaching both online and face-to-face courses in the RN-BSN program and the Prelicensure program. In addition to her teaching responsibilities in courses such as community health and professional practices of the Baccalaureate Nurse, she serves as an academic advisor for both programs. She brings with her more than 20 years of nursing experience.

After graduating with her ADN, Reedy she worked in the NICU for 13 years. She then transitioned into public health as a health promotions nurse manager where she became a chronic disease self-management educator. During this time, she also earned her BSN and later her MSN from the University of Phoenix in 2010. Reedy has taught at both the ADN and BSN level.
