Barbara Pennington, Undergrad Clinical Research Program CoordinatorBarbara Pennington joined UNCW in 2013 where she has developed and taught graduate and undergraduate courses in the Clinical Research Program. These courses include Monitoring and Ethics, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Basics of Clinical Research and Medical Terminology, Monitoring and Managing Clinical Trials, and Senior Seminar. She also serves as the faculty representative for the Consortium of Academic Programs in Clinical Research (CoAPCR) and is the Vice Chair for the CoAPCR Membership Committee.

Pennington has extensive experience working in clinical research, where she has held positions such as Clinical Research Associate at General Clinical Division to Senior Research Specialist Manager at PPD, and Director at INC Research. Since its inception in 2008, she has been the president and co-founder of IntoGreat Health, Inc. where she develops and facilitates workshops and seminars in Good Clinical Practice, clinical process and monitoring, and quality management. In addition to this, Pennington has international experience conducting educational workshops for clinical research site personnel, Ministries of Health and Ethics Committees in over 16 countries including Botswana, Thailand and China.
