Tamara Link: DNP, FNP-BC, Assistant Professor

Tamara LinkDr. Tamara Link is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than 18 years of experience in both primary and urgent-care settings. Link received her BSN from Bowling Green State University/Medical College of Ohio in 1984. After graduating, she joined the Air Force and moved to California. She served for 20 years in the USAF, including two overseas tours. Link has held positions including medical-surgical nurse, labor and delivery nurse, and has held various nursing leadership roles.

The highlight of Link's military career was her six-month deployment to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm as a flight nurse, where she evacuated the sick and injured to Germany. While on active duty, Link completed her MSN in 1998 from the Uniformed Services of the Health Sciences University in Bethesda, Maryland. She earned her DNP from Duke University in 2016 with the goal of transitioning into a full-time nursing faculty position. Her research project focused on antibiotic stewardship in the outpatient setting. Link is currently teaching in the FNP and the RN-BSN programs.
