Caroyln W. Jones, PhD, RN, NNP-BC
Interim Associate Director for Academic Programs and Associate Professor
Dr. Caroyln Jones began working as a registered nurse in OB-GYN and Surgery Services at Cleveland Memorial Hospital after receiving her BSN from Lenoir-Rhyne College. In 2000, Jones went on to earn a MSN from Medical University of South Carolina and later her PhD in Nursing from UNC Chapel Hill. She has been a licensed Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for almost twenty years bringing with her a wealth of experience to UNCW.
Jones provides both online and face-to-face instruction to prelicensure, RN-BSN, and graduate students. Her teaching responsibilities have included Health Assessment, Leadership and Management, Health Policy, Pathophysiology/Pharmacology I, and Pediatric Clinical's. In 2013, Jones was awarded the Nursing Excellence Award by NCNA Southeastern Region.
