Crystal EarpDr. Crystal Earp received her BSN from Western Carolina University and began her career working as a staff nurse in a hospital med-surg unit. She also spent time working in the Neonatal ICU before leaving the hospital setting to work in an infusion center at a Rheumatology office. She also worked in emergency care for a short period of time. She returned to school for an advanced degree and earned her MSN with Family Nurse Practitioner concentration at East Carolina University in 2012. She earned her Post-Masters Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in July 2022 and will complete her nurse educator courses in fall 2022. She has 10 years of advanced nursing practice with experience in primary care and urgent care settings.

Dr. Earp has precepted students in advanced nursing programs in the primary care and urgent care settings for more than seven years. She started her educational experience as a part time clinical professor with a NC nurse practitioner program in the practicum courses for primary care and pediatrics/obstetrics. Areas of interest include antibiotic stewardship, and acute care needs in the outpatient settings. She is excited to further her teaching career with UNCW SON faculty.
