Crystal Heath Dodson: PhD, RN, MSN, BC-ADM, CDE Assistant Professor

Chrissy DodsonDr. Crissy Dodson received her Ph.D. in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received both her BSN and MSN degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Crissy taught for three years at Winston-Salem State University where she was an assistant professor teaching courses in Adult Health, Nursing Research, and Theoretical Basis for Advanced Nursing Practice.

Prior to her faculty appointment, she was a diabetes coordinator for Cone Health in Greensboro, NC, for six years. Dodson currently teaches the prelicensure nursing research course and within the RN-BSN program. Her research focuses on nursing utilization of pharmacogenomics within practice. Furthermore, she is board-certified in advanced diabetes management.
