Planning and Design

Isaac Bear Early College High School Design The Isaac Bear Early College High School facility design will be a collaborative effort between the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, New Hanover County Schools, and UNCW’s College of Education. View
Coastal Marine Studies The MEP systems are reaching the end of their life cycle due to their coastal environment location. In order to maintain the integrity of CMS operations, renovation of these systems is needed at this time. View
2024 Campus Master Plan The purpose of the UNCW 2024 Campus Master Plan is to ensure the highest and best use of the university's physical assets, both developed and undeveloped, to meet the university's academic, research and outreach missions. Be a Part of the Process
Alderman King Hall Renovations Renovation design and construction for both Alderman Hall and King Hall. It shall include envelope repairs, code deficiency corrections (ADA, egress, and restroom improvements), mechanical/electrical replacements and new finishes in individual suites and corridors. View
Storm Water Improvements The network of streets on the southwest section of campus is reaching the end of its effective life and needs improvements to maintain operations. View
Natatorium Filtration and Lighting The filtration and lighting systems in the natatorium are reaching the end of their effective life cycles and will need to be replaced to maintain operations in the Natatorium. View
Galloway Hall Demolition Galloway hall has held as many as 400 residents but is no longer utilized and is beyond its serviceable life. This Demolition Plan applies to all physical abatement, demolition, and waste generating activities performed as a part of the remediation and demolition activities of the project. View
Brooks Field Refurbishment UNCW’s Brooks Baseball Field has been the home of the Seahawks since 1962 and continues to be one of the top facilities in the state and the southeast. The facility needs improvements and repairs including replacement of grass with artificial turf and renovations to dugouts. View

Student Village Recreation Facilities The Student Village Recreation Facilities and Fields project is a continuation of the Outdoor Recreational Master Plan and consists of improvements to the existing recreation fields site adjacent to the new student village, The Shore Dining Facility and Campus Recreation Facility. Randall Library Expansion The project includes a 117,980-square-foot, four-story expansion at the west side of Randall Library along with a partial renovation of the existing interior. View
Cadaver Lab Project consists of design and construction of a 2800 GSF human cadaver lab that will complete the College of Health & Human Services goal to provide hands on learning opportunities for students within the current degree programs. View
