The Graduate: LA Theatre Works

Wednesday, October 30
7 p.m., Kenan Auditorium

"[LA Theatre Works is] a national theatrical treasure."-Philadelphia Inquirer

Marking the 50th anniversary of the Charles Webb novel The Graduate, LA Theatre Works-the foremost radio theater in the country-brings this coming of age story to life. A biting satire, the play centers on Benjamin Braddock (Brian Tichnell of HBO's The Newsroom), a recent college graduate who finds himself directionless in the shifting social and sexual values of the 1960s. With headline actors Heidi Dippold (HBO's The Sopranos) as Mrs. Robinson, Tom Virtue (Iron Man 3, Even Stevens) as Mr. Braddock and live Foley sound effect artists, LA Theatre Works creates a cutting-edge contemporary spin on The Graduate's classic tale with innovative sets and costumes. A question and answer session will be held for all audience members directly following the performance.
