Admitted to UNCW? Congratulations! What's Next?

  • Admitted for Fall?

    Access your UNCW Applicant Portal to review your enrollment checklist and upcoming deadlines.

    • Pay your $100 enrollment deposit by June 1.* This secures your spot in our Fall First-Year class.  Once you have submitted your enrollment deposit, you will have access to apply for on-campus housing and register for Orientation.

      *Please note the enrollment deposit deadline for Fall 2022 has been extended to June 1.

    • Apply for on-campus Housing. First-Year students admitted in the fall semester are required to live in on-campus housing for your first and second academic years, unless you meet one of the exceptionsAllow 3-5 days after paying your enrollment deposit to apply for on-campus housing.  The date that the Housing Application will open for Fall 2022 admitted students is TBD. The pre-recorded videos below will help you navigate this process. 

    • Register for your required Orientation. You must wait 24 hours after your enrollment deposit has been paid to sign-up for Orientation.

    • Send your Official Final High School Transcript and any Official Records of Advanced Credit (AP, CLEP, IB, all other Credit by Examination, or all Official College Transcripts) by July 15

     

    Within mySeaport, students can also access their UNCW e-mail, calendar, and read about campus news and events. If you have trouble logging in or using the tools in mySeaport, contact the Technology Assistance Center (TAC) at https://www.uncw.edu/tac.

    In addition to completing the enrollment steps above:

  • Admitted for Spring?

    Access your UNCW Applicant Portal to review your enrollment checklist and upcoming deadlines.

    • Pay your $100 enrollment deposit by May 1. This secures your spot in our Spring first-year class. 
    • Send your Official Final High School Transcript and any Official Records of Advanced Credit (AP, CLEP, IB, all other Credit by Examination, or all Official College Transcripts)
    • Apply for on-campus Housing. First-Year students admitted in the spring semester (FYSA) have the option to reside on campus if space is available. If residing on campus, students must participate in one of the "All Access" meal plans. Housing applications open in October for the upcoming Spring semester.
    • Register for your required January Orientation (You must wait 24 hours after your enrollment deposit has been paid to sign-up for Orientation.) Orientation registration opens in October for the upcoming Spring Semester.

    If you were admitted as a First-Year Spring Admit (FYSA), be sure to review the FYSA booklet that came with your acceptance letter.

    Once admitted for spring, students can elect to be on a waitlist for the fall by completing the online form included in their decision letter. Students selected to be moved to the fall will be notified by June 1.  Unfortunately, because each admissions cycle is unique, it is impossible for us to determine the probability of acceptance from the waitlist.

    In addition to completing the enrollment steps above:

    • Visit UNCW for an official campus tour if you have not already. If you are not able to physically visit campus, check out our virtual tour offerings below.

  • Withdraw Your Application

    If you are not planning to attend UNCW during the term for which you applied, please withdraw your application. You may do so by completing the Decision Reply form within your UNCW Applicant PortalCompletion of this form withdraws your application from the university, rescinding any offer of admission as well.
