  • Admitted for Spring?

    • Apply for on-campus Housing. First-Year students admitted in the spring semester (FYSA) have the option to reside on campus if space is available. If residing on campus, students must participate in one of the "All Access" meal plans. Housing applications open in October for the upcoming Spring semester.
    • Register for your required January Orientation (You must wait 24 hours after your enrollment deposit has been paid to sign-up for Orientation.) Orientation registration opens in October for the upcoming Spring Semester.

If you were admitted as a First-Year Spring Admit (FYSA), be sure to review the FYSA booklet that came with your acceptance letter.

Once admitted for spring, students can elect to be on a waitlist for the fall by completing the online form included in their decision letter. Students selected to be moved to the fall will be notified by April 23. Unfortunately, because each admissions cycle is unique, it is impossible for us to determine the probability of acceptance from the waitlist.

Within mySeaport, students can also access their UNCW e-mail, calendar, and read about campus news and events. If you have trouble logging in or using the tools in mySeaport, contact the Technology Assistance Center (TAC) at https://www.uncw.edu/tac.

  • Defer Your Enrollment

Each year, some admitted first-year students may want to defer their enrollment to UNCW for personal or family medical issues, to travel abroad, complete military service, an internship, or perhaps work to contribute to the cost of attending college. Whatever the reason might be, the process to request an academic deferral can be found here.

Students admitted for the fall term can:

    • request to defer enrollment for one full year to next fall
    • request to defer enrollment for one term to spring

Students admitted for the spring term as a First Year Spring Admit (FYSA) can:

    • request to defer enrollment for one full year to the next spring

  • Withdraw Your Application

Please complete the online form if you are not planning to attend UNCW during the term for which you applied.  Completion of this form withdraws your application from the university, rescinding any offer of admission as well.
