BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMENT FOR EDUCATION STUDENTS

All students must complete a formal criminal background check as they enter education coursework and again as they begin the teaching internship semester. In addition, any UNCW student completing education coursework requiring field experience in a school setting must complete the background check. For more information, please see Background Checks.
