Write Wilmington
Write Wilmington Spring 2025
Join us Friday mornings, 9 to 10 am EST, throughout the spring for the EIGHTH season of Write Wilmington!
Write Wilmington is a free, online writing initiative that was founded during the Pandemic by Associate Professor Sayantani Dasgupta. Its goal is to push our imaginations, exercise our creative muscles, and carve out time and space for writing in community with one another. Join us in the creative weeks ahead, with sessions led by esteemed writers from UNCW and the literary community beyond.
To build off of last season’s theme of Nine Stories, we will be doing Nine Poems this season! We will have nine sessions in all, each led by one instructor, who will deliver prompt(s) through which attendees will write poems. Our hope is that by the end of the season, attendees would have written nine different poems and thereby taken a step toward putting together a poetry collection of their own.
Even if you are a prose writer, we encourage you to take advantage of this season’s sessions! Thinking about figurative language, voice, line breaks, and brevity is advantageous for every writer.
We meet on Zoom, Friday mornings from 9-10 am EST. For Spring 2025 registration, visit https://forms.office.com/r/vkqu3v8Gha.
