The 2023 Sherman Scholar is Eladio Bobadilla

Eladio Bobadilla is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Bobadilla earned his Ph.D from Duke University in 2019 and is a historian of social movements in the United States. His research focuses on Latinx history and the intersections between race, ethnicity and class. Dr. Bobadilla’s current book project, “Without Borders”: A History of the Immigrants’ Rights Movement is under contract with the University of Illinois Press.
