Airport

Wilmington has a great airport close to the UNCW campus. The airport code is ILM and the following carriers provide services to/from the ILM airport: American, Delta, United, Sun Country, and Avelo. The closest large, international airport is Raleigh/Durham (RDU). It is about a two hour drive from UNCW.

Transportation from ILM Airport to UNCW Area

• Taxis cost approximately $20 USD from ILM to UNCW. Most taxis accept credit cards.
• For a list of taxis and contact numbers that provide transportation from the airport, please visit ILM's website.
• Uber and Lyft are both readily available in Wilmington and are easy to access from the airport. ILM staff can assist you in finding transportation if needed.

Getting to Campus

Carpooling to campus, getting a taxi/Uber/Lyft to campus or walking to campus from hotels (select hotels) are all good options for getting to campus. If you wish to drive to campus, parking in the visitor lot is FREE and does not require a permit/pass. Just let the parking attendant know you are on campus for a conference in Warwick. UNCW Campus is located at 601 S. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28409. Conference sessions will be in the Warwick Center on campus. Warwick is located in close proximity to the visitor parking lot. There will be signage that says “College of Health and Human Services Event” directing attendees to Warwick Center. You can find an interactive campus map here.

Directions to Visitor Lot

Parking in the Visitor lot is FREE for campus guests and does not require a permit or pass. The parking attendant may ask why you are on campus to which you can respond, for a conference in Warwick Center.

• From College Road (NC 132), turn onto Hurst Drive at the traffic light to enter the UNCW campus.
• Continue on Hurst Drive to the next traffic light. Turn left onto Hamilton Drive.
• Continue on Hamilton Drive to the intersection of Riegel Road. Turn right onto Riegel Road.
• Continue on Riegel Road past the Warwick Center. After passing the Riegel Road/Price Drive intersection, turn left into the Visitor Lot entrance.
• Follow “College of Health & Human Services Event” signage to Warwick Center.
