June 25, 2020  |  Updates on SEANET and Pass/Fail Options for Students

Sent to students on behalf of Provost Winebrake

Dear Students,

As we continue to develop plans for the upcoming semester, we want to offer you two reminders pertaining to academic matters:

  • SeaNet will be temporarily offline for fall semester registration beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26 through July 6 at 7:30 a.m. Academic Affairs leadership will use this time to make revisions to the schedule so that we can do our best to provide a safe and healthy campus environment this fall. You will receive more information about reviewing your schedule and making any necessary adjustments in the coming weeks. Although we plan to inform you if schedule modifications will affect your schedule, we also hope you will proactively review your schedule through SeaNet once it’s back online (July 6 at 7:30 a.m.) and contact your advisor with any concerns.
  • Students considering selecting the Pass/Fail option for any eligible courses completed in the Spring 2020 semester should consult with their advisors before making those decisions. The process for selecting Pass/Fail grading is available in SeaNet; directions for submitting Pass/Fail selections are located here. You have until June 30 to make these decisions; please note that the selection is final once submitted.

We are approaching the fall with your health and safety as our top priority. It is impossible to predict how the next couple of months will play out, but we can assure you that we will do everything we can to ensure a safe, engaging, and fulfilling academic experience. Thank you for your attention, and we will convey any updates to you as soon as they are available.

Stay well and be safe!

Best,

Jamie
