New HD Cable Channels

ITS has recently completed a cable TV upgrade that includes 56 new High Definition (HD) channels in the UNCW residence halls, giving students the best picture quality available. The new lineup with more than 100 total channels includes eight HBO channels and numerous news channels, among others.More

Scheduled Downtime Weekend: September 5 – 8

ITS is granted pre-approved scheduled downtimes to perform maintenance work on the campus networks and systems. These downtimes are scheduled in advance to minimize impact to the campus and allow everyone to plan accordingly. This quarter's scheduled downtime is Sept. 5 – Sept. 8, from 5 p.m. on Friday through 8 a.m. on Monday. During this timeframe, all systems and services are subject to intermittent interruptions due to patching and reboots.More

Quarterly Apple Bulk Order for University Computers and Accessories – Deadline September 4

Each quarter UNC General Administration (UNC-GA) coordinates an Apple bulk quote for campuses that wish to order Macs (iPads, etc.) and other Apple software and accessories. In the past, this process has given each campus a discount of 6% - 10% beyond normal education pricing. Those interested in taking advantage of this opportunity for university purchases need to submit their information no later than September 4, 2014. More
