Grievance and Appeal Procedures for Current and Prospective Students
- If you are enrolled in UNCW courses and you have a complaint about your experience other than that covered by the Grade Appeals procedure, please refer to the UNCW Grievance Procedure in the UNCW Code of Student Life
- If you wish to file a complaint against the institution for non-compliance with accreditation standards, contact the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, which is the regional accreditor for UNCW. - If you wish to file a complaint against the institution’s state approval or licensing entity, contact the University of North Carolina General Administration, 910 Raleigh Rd., P.O. Box 2688, Chapel Hill, NC 27514; phone 919-962-1000.
- If you reside outside of North Carolina while taking a UNCW course, in many cases you may file a complaint in the state you are residing, as requested by federal regulations, we direct you to a list of resources compiled and updated by the State Higher Education Executive Officers.
Normal inquiries or concerns such as those involving admission requirements, financial aid, educational programs, etc. should be addressed directly to the appropriate office at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
