Giving Clubs

Your support is imperative for the success of our students and our university. Giving Clubs were created to honor the many loyal individuals, corporations and foundations who support UNCW at various levels.

Chancellor's Club $2,500*+

*Young alumni are invited to become members of this distinguished group at a discounted amount, based upon the year of graduation from UNCW.

Provost's Club, $1,000 - $2,499

Deans' Club, $500 - $999

Wilmington Society

The Wilmington Society recognizes individuals, corporations or foundations with cumulative giving records of $100,000 or more, thus demonstrating exceptional service to the well-being of the university. The society is organized into four groups - platinum, gold, silver and bronze - based on donors' cumulative giving.

The E. L. White Society

The E. L. White Society is an organization of individuals who support the University of North Carolina Wilmington through a gift plan of $25,000 or more, typically created by a future interest gift through a will, trust, life insurance, IRA and other bequest methods. The society is named after a former Wilmington mayor and Wilmington College Board of Trustee who made the first planned gift to the college through his will. Mayor White’s initial gift still exists in the university endowment and supports scholarships at UNCW.

Seahawk SculptureThe society was initiated in 2002. Each year, members of the E. L. White Society are invited to a special induction ceremony for new members, hosted by the Foundation for the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Inc. New members receive a copper seahawk sculpture mounted on a granite base from the Chancellor in appreciation of their support. Each seahawk is an original piece of artwork, created expressly for the E. L. White Society members by acclaimed Wilmington artist, Dumay Gorham III.

All individuals who have included UNCW in their estate plans at this level are encouraged to inform the university of their generous gift intentions.
