Research Team: 2008-2009
The Research Team for the first year of the Reading Program consisted of three UNCW faculty members (two from the Department of Sociology and Criminology, one from Educational Leadership), three UNCW graduate students (two from Sociology and Criminology, one from the Master's in School Administration Program), and an alumna of the Department of Sociology and Criminology.

Due to her multiple responsibilities, Leslie is no longer "officially" involved in the day-to-day operations of the Reading Program, but she was a pivotal actor in the creation of the WHA-UNCW Hillcrest Campus; actively helped with planning for and implementing the Reading Program; and teaches her Public Sociology classes on the campus.
