Great news!

Warehouse Services has joined together with uShop to expedite the delivery of packages to your desktop (including, but not limited to, packages shipped via UPS, FedEx, DHL, Staples and USPS). Effective January 2011, all shipments can be delivered directly to on‐campus departments.

For users to take advantage of the new procedure, you will need to select your building "Ship To" address from a provided list and add it to your uShop profile as a default. (Note: You will want to keep Central Receiving as an alternate in the event you order something large that requires a loading dock.)

1. What if I’m not in the office when the delivery comes?

In the event of absence, the delivery person will leave a notice that delivery was attempted, your package will then be delivered to Central Receiving where it will either be delivered to you at a later time or you may choose to pick it up. Priority packages will be delivered by Warehouse personnel the same business day.

2. What is the "Ship To" address for my building?

You can view the list of "Ship To" building addresses here.

3. Will this increase the cost for us?

No, there is no additional charge for desktop delivery.

4. How do I add addresses to my uShop profile?

In uShop, click on the following:
Profile > Purchasing > Addresses > “Select Addresses for Profile”> Search>

Find your address on the list; click on it.
(To select as your primary address, check default box).

Enter the appropriate fields:
Your full building name (no abbreviations), room number, and your name.
Click Save.

5. How is this going to be different?

Rather than one of the Warehouse employees delivering your package, a UPS/FedEx/DHL, etc. employee will be delivering your package directly to you. Dock deliveries will be delivered to the Warehouse and will continue to be delivered by Warehouse employees.

6. What is the new receiving procedure?

Desktop delivery does not change how the department acknowledges receiving. Desktop delivery only changes the persons involved in the delivery of packages.
