I am a New Orleans native innately born with an affinity for seafood and jazz music. Having lived in North Carolina for seven years now, I developed a passion for performing spoken word at age 19 (have been writing since age 16). Besides being active in my spoken word organization, SISTAHS, I am an avid dancer –always joining Zumba or Cardio Dance classes at the Rec Center at every opportunity that I can seize. Upon graduation, I plan to enroll in law school with the aspirations of becoming a Civil Rights Attorney. However, my ultimate passion in life is to instill positive self- esteem in young women around the world. My motto in life: Chase Your Destiny.

Understanding how and why people become who they are has always been an interest of mine. Through the science of Psychology I hope to apply this passion to my professional career, focusing on the research of culture, and its impact on the way we think, feel, and behave. In my personal life I am extremely curious and spend most of time searching for new people and experiences to broaden my horizons in as many areas as possible, including music, literature, athletics, and many more.

My career aspiration is to become the next Ron Clark and make effective and positive impacts for my students and their families. My goal is to earn my Ph.D. in Education so that I can further my educational learning experience. After contributing years to the field of education as a teacher, I hope to open my own Academy for students or even create an after school program. When I am not in a classroom, participating in Greek Life, or working on my academics I enjoy volunteering in the community, reading, bowling, walking around downtown Wilmington, and having movie marathons with my roommates.
