A Note about University Studies Requirements
Students entering under the 2011-12 catalogue year are held to University Studies’ Phase I components.
Students entering in 2012 and after are held to all University Studies requirements (Phase I and Phase II).
At UNCW, passionate and engaged teaching, learning, and research matter. The assessment of student learning guides our curricula and is a critical component of the powerful UNCW learning experience. We assess all components of University Studies on a three-year recurring cycle in order to learn how well we’re providing educational experiences that facilitate students’ achievement of UNCW’s Learning Goals. While we rely on student work products for assessment purposes, this process helps faculty review their own best practices and, so, does not affect the grades students earn on the assessed work products.
